Luma NW Auxiliary
Welcome the 2025-2026 Governing Body of Luma NW Auxiliary. Chairman Ashlyn “Bonnie” Yoseph will oversee this year’s board of volunteers. This team of experienced professionals have committed to leadership roles that aid the Auxiliary with their goals of philanthropic support. The Auxiliary meets its commitments through volunteering in Bright Start, Luma NW Thrift Shop, and working with other nonprofits supporting military veterans and underserved youth.
Luma NW Auxiliary Philanthropic Programs
Luma NW Auxiliary has a philanthropic budget of over $12,000 each year which is supported by our fundraising activities. The philanthropic committee decides how funds are distributed within that budget. Some of our supported programs and projects include:
• Crossroads High School and Open Doors Academy (Granite Falls): Crossroads High School is an accredited high school that serves students grades 9-12 that have not found success in a traditional high school setting. Open Doors Academy offers students ages 16-21 an honest opportunity to build a future that is meaningful to them. There are 250-300 students enrolled in both programs. We provide food and snacks, hats and scarves, gas cards if needed and graduation awards.
• Index School: Index School is a K-8 elementary and middle school combination located next to the Skykomish River with an enrollment of 30-35 students. We provide students with enrichment activities, swim lessons and field trips to show them other areas of the community as well as other on-line learning activities.
• Northwest Regional Learning Center (Arlington): In June, the Auxiliary hosts a high school graduation celebration for Northwest Regional Learning Center (NRLC) seniors. We present seniors with a year book, decorate the Gretchen De Lap Room with families and friends in attendance. After the ceremony, a light lunch is provided the attendees. For under graduate students, we offer bus passes, snack food and clothing items as needed.

MEMBERSHIP
As a member of Luma NW Auxiliary, we enjoy making new friendships, learning from others, collaborating on projects, and serving our community in Snohomish County. Working on a committee, members can practice, share, and develop special talents and leadership skills, as well as have the chance to network. As a member we learn about community needs and how best to serve those needs.
